Baccarat and chef Alain Ducasse have transformed the historic Maison Baccarat in Paris’s 16th arrondissement into an immersive cultural and culinary experience.
Originally a vibrant gathering space for artists in the 1920s, the Maison now hosts a variety spaces where art and craftsmanship intersect: a restaurant, cocktail bar, ballroom, wine tasting room, an artists’ residency, and the Baccarat boutique.

Baccarat’s crystal artistry is showcased upon arrival, where artist and designer Harry Nuriev incorporated cut stone engravings inspired by the brand’s craftsmanship and archival pieces are preserved like treasures in custom refrigerators.
An ethereal stained-glass installation by artist Pierre Tatin, resembling a chapel of light, immerses guests in the essence of crystal, leading to a serene garden by designer Jérémie Attali, set to open in 2025.
Inside, at the foot of the grand staircase, designer Marcel Wanders’ Monumental vase and oak sculptures by Jean-Guillaume Mathiaut are illuminated by a chandelier created with 157 lights and 9,000 crystal pendants. Meanwhile, the upstairs tasting cellar features a canopy painted by Gérard Garouste that depicts the elemental forces of water, earth, air, and fire.

The Alain Ducasse restaurant
The Alain Ducasse Baccarat restaurant features a ceiling adorned with cascading crystal light fixtures, setting the stage for a culinary journey created by Ducasse, Christophe Saintagne, and Robin Schroeder.
The Bar Midi-Minuit offers a more spontaneous and casual ambiance, open from noon to midnight as a welcoming rendezvous point.
“Maison Baccarat in Paris’ 16th arrondissement is a house of light,” says Maggie Henriquez, president and CEO of Baccarat. “If it were a person, I would say it was bold, cheerful, and enchanting. We, therefore, formed a collective of artists who share this natural drive.”
Expanding upon this spirit, Maison Baccarat will open its ballroom monthly for concerts, conversations, conferences, performances, and a host of cultural events.
“I want to hand down a world of creation, recreation, and recreation,” Ducasse adds.
