The Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta has unveiled a new addition to its onsite F&B lineup: Three Arches. Designed by the Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry, the pan-Mediterranean concept draws upon the cultural heritage of Atlanta and the Aegean to establish the restaurant as a melting pot.
“Three Arches was designed to reflect a crossroads moment where people of diverse cultures and backgrounds are inspired to come together to share personal experiences over good food,” says Johnson Studio principal Anita Summers. “The design objective for this space was to integrate Old World nostalgic comfort, within the contemporary hotel backdrop.”
Breezy curtains accent a steel archway at arrival, leading to a bar area lined with textured stone and aged bronze. A trio of arches form a modern focal point as the bar display, commanding attention in the heart of the restaurant.
Materials chosen for their Old World patinas conjure Three Arches’ tactile ambiance, offset by the luxe jewel tones of authentic Turkish rug pillows and hand-stitched patchwork. Hand-glazed Moroccan tiles and a green marble floor mosaic convey a sense of approachable luxury, while reclaimed wood beams and engraved nickel tables in the dining room accented with stretched buffalo leather infuse warmth. “Many of the architectural features use Middle Eastern shapes and patterns to bring an Old World feel to the details,” Summers adds.
