Hotel J in Stockholm Unveils New Guestrooms, Restaurant

Published: August 25, 2011

Hotel J in Stockholm, Sweden, takes design cues from Newport, Rhode Island, for its new 113 guestrooms, meeting space, and restaurant. Located in a new red brick building adjacent to the original hotel, accommodations boast endless vistas complemented by the work of designer Peter Ågren from Millimeter Arkitekter.

Meanwhile, another building-J’s Tornvilla-houses five refurbished meeting rooms and the Club House, a new a la carte restaurant, lounge, and bar designed in the relaxed style of New England yacht clubs. Interior designers Anna-Johanna Bonnier and Lena Widenfelt were responsible for renewing the building while maintaining its original features. Changes include new wallcoverings, furnishings, painted ceilings, historic tiled stoves, and parquet floors.
