Thailand-based Avani Hotels & Resorts has confirmed its plans for longterm growth and reaffirmed that work is continuing on properties in its current pipeline, which include a range of Vietnamese units and the brand’s arrival in Myanmar.
The final quarter of 2020 will see the debut of two new properties in Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. The Avani+ Koh Lanta Krabi Resort will host 87 keys adjacent to the famed Klong Dao Beach, while the Avani Palm View Dubai Residences & Suites will accommodate 264 keys and residences across a new-build structure.
Five Avani properties are slated to open in 2021, beginning with the Avani Doc Let Resort, which will feature 273 chic guestrooms and villas on Vietnam’s central coast. The Avani Muscat Hotel is set to open shortly later in Seeb, Oman with 161 keys and 45 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The 120-key, all-suite Avani Nairobi Residences will launch in the heart of Westlands, Kenya, while the 200-room Avani+ Fare Maldives Resort and the 328-key Avani+ Khao Lak Resort in Thailand will round out 2021 openings.
In 2022, Avani will grow its Vietnamese footprint with the openings of the 217-room Avani Saigon Hotel and the Avani Cam Ranh Resort—the latter of which will feature 595 keys along the coast of Binh Lap. The hotel chain will also add a new Malaysian property in the regional hub of Malaysian Borno with the introduction of Avani Kota Kinablau Hotel. The 378-room hotel will serve as a catalyst in the growth of the downtown corridor, blending Old World charms with a chic, cosmopolitan flair. Finally, Avani will unveil its first property in Myanmar: the 250-room Avani Yangon Hotel.
