Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts is growing its hospitality footprint with the addition of a hotel in the Campo Marzio section of Rome. Slated to open in 2022, the forthcoming Bvlgari Hotel Roma will be housed within a historic volume in the central Piazza Augusto Imperatore that was designed in the late 1930s by architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo.
Italian firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel will oversee the architecture and interior design of the project, which will feature stonework and rich textures to contrast the architectural vernacular of the ornate façade. Home to more than 100 guestrooms, the hotel will also host a fitness center, spa, indoor swimming pool, and a reading room open to the public.
