Hilton has launched Conrad Chongqing, the company’s first Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Chongqing, China.
Nestled in the heart of the Nan’an District and surrounded by historical landmarks, the hotel features a design by Hong Kong-based Cheng Chung Design (CCD).
The property draws inspiration from Chongqing’s mountainous cityscape, blending nature and culture within a contemporary luxury setting.
In the lobby, guests are greeted by a 3D digital art piece by Three Non-Carbon titled Journey of Light Years, which pulls inspiration from cultural symbols like the Liberation Monument and camellia flower. On the sixth floor, another digital work by Digital Mountain City portrays Chongqing’s layered mountain landscapes and the flowing waters of the Yangtze River.
The hotel houses 275 rooms, including 26 suites, across 17 floors. Each room is an inviting space rendered in muted tones of creams and grays with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of the mountains in the distance.
Conrad Chongqing’s dining experiences include YU Chinese Restaurant, which features 10 private dining rooms, and all-day dining restaurant the PEAK, which possesses an understated charm with light-filled interiors and metallic accents.
MIST Lobby Bar, boasting sweeping views of the city, is also home to 3652, a hidden speakeasy with buttery leather furnishings and emerald marble accents.
Conrad Chongqing also has more than 32,000 square feet of pillar-free meetings and event spaces and an 8,400-square-foot outdoor sky garden.
Wellness spaces include a fitness center and a heated indoor infinity pool on the uppermost floor.
