Lifestyle hospitality company Ennismore has revealed a first look of the new and improved Delano Miami Beach.
The property is slated to reopen in late 2025 after a thorough renovation by Elastic Architects in collaboration with Ennismore’s in-house design team.
Since 1947, the striking Art Deco façade of Delano Miami Beach has stood as a celebration of the area’s architectural heritage and a homage to the city’s midcentury style. The landmark last underwent a renovation, overseen by hotelier Ian Schrager and designer Philippe Starck, in the 1990s.
Now, as before, guests will be swept into the resort through a veil of white curtains that lead into bright white public spaces defined by a soft minimalist aesthetic that balances light and dark.
Guestrooms and amenities at Delano Miami Beach
The 171 guestrooms and suites, including the poolside Bungalow Suites and Penthouse Suites, are guided by a tonal palette and organic fluidity expressed through bespoke lighting and furnishings. Oversized windows and terraces offer expansive views of the Miami skyline or the glittering Atlantic Ocean.
Delano Miami Beach will be home to four F&B concepts, including a reimagination of the iconic Rose Bar, which once played host to Hollywood royalty and a who’s who of Miami society. The resort will also feature curated retail, event spaces, a wellness studio, spa, a new beachfront amenity deck, and a second pool on the fourth floor.
Restoring the hotel’s Art Deco charm
The design of Delano Miami Beach pays homage to its iconic Art Deco roots with careful preservation of key historical features. Original vertical paint bands and terrazzo flooring will be reinstated, while the Delano logo and the lobby’s hexagonal columns are being restored. The mezzanine bridge will be reimagined to maintain sightlines to the pool and gardens as well.
Last year, Ennismore and real estate investment firm Cain International entered into a strategic partnership in which Cain acquired a minority stake in the Delano brand. In October 2024, the brand was introduced to a new destination and audience with the launch of Delano Dubai.
