good neighbor—a popular café and retail store that opened three years ago in Baltimore, Maryland—has expanded its offerings with the addition of guesthouse. The new boutique hotel comprises seven fully shoppable, design-forward accommodations located directly above good neighbor.
For the interiors of guesthouse, good neighbor cofounder Shawn Chopra took cues from modern design as well as notable landmarks, like the Pyramids of Giza or India’s step-wells.
An eclectic mix of materials sourced both near and far characterize the hotel, a nod to Chopra and his wife and fellow cofounder Anne Morgan’s Indian and Egyptian immigrant culture.
Each unique room, for instance, features artwork and ceramics made by artists based in Baltimore and India. The Young Hearts Run Free room is perfect for guests traveling with kids with a bunk room featuring four twin beds and a private outdoor space, while the greenery-filled Essence room boasts a private deck overlooking good neighbor’s garden.
