Minor Hotels has unveiled a pipeline of nearly 300 hotels slated to open over the next three years. This expansion puts the international hotel owner and operator on track to exceed 850 properties by the end of 2027.
The growth will diversify Minor’s portfolio—which is largely concentrated in Europe at present—with more than 100 properties opening in Asia, over 60 in the Middle East and Africa, and 40 in Australia and New Zealand.
Luxury and upscale will lead the expansion, with one-third of the three-year pipeline categorized in the luxury segment (including the Anantara, Tivoli, and Elewana Collection brands), and another third in the premium segment across the NH Collection, Avani, and nhow.
Conversions and brownfield developments make up 38 percent the pipeline, while the remainder consists of greenfield projects.
Branded residences are another focus for Minor Hotels, which counts with projects with a residential component in more than a dozen countries.
Key Minor Hotels openings this year:
- Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel (February): The property comprises a historic Port Wine cellar on the hillside of Gaia, Portugal.
- nhow Rome (Q2): This launch will mark the 10th property under the design-forward nhow brand.
- Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles Resort (Q3): A major refurbishment will position this property as a flagship resort for Avani.
- Anantara Kafue River Zambia Tented Camp (Q3): Anantara’s debut in the luxury tented camp segment, offering guests an exclusive safari experience.
- NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort (Q4): After closing for a six-month renovation, one of the Maldives’ most storied resorts will open with a new look and plant the second NH Collection flag on the archipelago.
