Nobu Hotel Los Cabos, the Mexico outpost of chef Nobu Matsuhisa and actor Robert De Niro’s lifestyle hospitality brand, has introduced 60 residential accommodations overlooking the Pacific Coast of Baja California Sur. Complementary to the existing property, the new Nobu Residences Los Cabos embodies modern luxury and Japanese minimalism via a design by WATG and Studio PCH.
“We spent time designing a hotel that we believe is not only a fusion of Asian and Mexican cultures, but also a true example of great hospitality design,” says Studio PCH principal Severine Tatangelo. “We wanted the residences to carry this same approach with a comfortable, inviting, and cozy interior. Our team incorporated traditional design elements and construction techniques that reflect the local culture and history.”
The new build comprises a materiality of locally sourced limestone, plaster, Iroko, and Ipe alongside distinctive Japanese elements like live-edge millwork.
The residences’ expansive floorplans include open kitchens along with separate living and dining areas connected to roomy terraces set against golf course or garden views. Two- to four-bedroom residences also house bathrooms equipped with open showers, double vanities, and traditional Onsen teak soaking tubs. Three-bedroom units boast private plunge pools as well.
Amenities available exclusively to residence guests include an expansive spa, wellness space, and fitness center.
Additionally, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos has introduced Muna Restaurant, a new rooftop Mediterranean-style concept.
