SHA Wellness Clinic has opened its highly anticipated Mexico outpost as part of its first phase of global expansion, building on the success of its flagship clinic in Spain.
SHA Mexico—located in the state of Quintana Roo, in the eastern region of the Yucatán Peninsula—rises above the Mayan jungle as a striking building inspired by the human genome.
The complex comprises 100 oceanfront rooms and suites, along with 35 residences. Each feature private balconies with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and luxurious bathrooms fitted with rain showers.
Designed by architecture firm Sordo Madaleno and interior designer Alejandro Escudero, the property blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor with an organic, sustainable, and contemporary feel.
Natural materials—such as Mexican ceramics, wicker, autochthonous textiles, and marble—and renewable energies are used throughout the resort to minimize environmental impact.
Lush tropical gardens, curated by Maat Handasa, were designed with local flora species in mind.
With its own stretch of white sand beach, SHA Mexico sits across from the largest coral reef in the northern hemisphere, a marine ecosystem of protected species.
SHA Wellness Clinic is set to expand further with the opening of SHA Emirates in 2026.
