Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta has completed renovations of its 426 guestrooms and suites, lobby, and function space.
The property partnered with Atlanta-based Sims Patrick Studio on the remodel and the resulting renovation, based around a theme of “Southern charm meets modernism.” The design team found inspiration from local topography, Lake Lanier, and the surrounding Duluth County residential architecture.
Property renovations include enhanced guestrooms and suites, furnishings, and new carpet, beds, and lighting fixtures. A new lobby design features an eclectic selection of furniture and elegant fabrics chosen to create a residential living space for guests. The public space also offers bold carpet patterns and wall art to create a vibrant, welcoming entrance.
“We were pleased to partner with Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta and to have the opportunity to bring the local destination in to the hotel’s design,” says Libby Patrick, founding principal and CEO of Sims Patrick Studio. “The mix of Southern influence with modern design will provide guests with a welcoming experience as they explore and visit the property.”
