Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, has unveiled its six new presidential suites. Designed for drama by Mexican architect Ernesto Vela, the suites are at least 2,400 square feet and feature plunge pools, exotic woods, and spacious terraces. Soaring double-height ceilings and windows framing ocean and jungle vistas set the stage for the suites’ design. Handpainted abstract frescoes complement multi-colored marble inlays and warm mahogany paneling. Nature motifs are reflected in the hand-loomed textiles, while sculptures and bibelots from all over the world further define the opulent spaces.
The resort’s amenities include a spa with 40 treatment rooms and 15 F&B concepts.
