Brooklyn-based coffee brand Nobletree has introduced its new Roastery within a 19th-century brick building in the New York borough’s historic Red Hook neighborhood. The structure is restored by locally based architecture practice Aerial Design & Build.
Brewing and product development methods are highlighted in the sleek tasting room, which is equipped with a Modbar and pour-over station. The cozy study is punctuated with chesterfield sofas and plush leather seating fixed around a wood-burning fireplace, and features framed views of the East River and the Statue of Liberty. Within the roasting facility, a green coffee storage room and vintage, refurbished World War II-era Probat roasters are on display, while the educational center—the lab—offers courses for the public and training for baristas.
