Style and hospitality go hand in hand at new and forthcoming Southern California retreats
Words by: Caitlin St John
Palm Springs has been popular a resort destination for decades. Since the 1930s, for instance, many Los Angeles residents have been retreating to the Southern California locale. But it’s not just a landing place for locals—people come from near and far to enjoy the warm temperatures, golf courses, midcentury modern architecture (hello, Modernism Week!), and more.
In preparation for HD Summit—the industry’s only networking conference focused on ideas outside hospitality—held next week at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, we’ve rounded up some of the area’s most exciting new hotel launches (three of which will be included in a hospitality tour on March 9th).
