Pretty pastels. Bold neon signs. Vibrant patterns. It’s giving Barbie. With the debut of the highly anticipated Barbie movie, Barbiecore is trending in a big way, seeping into just about every industry, including hospitality and interior design.

Joining in on the fun, we’ve rounded up pink hotels from around the world. While these real-life properties came to fruition long before Barbie’s resurgence, they would undoubtedly make Barbie and Ken’s travel bucket list.

Now, come on Barbie, let’s go party—in one of the visually enticing destinations in the gallery below.

Nature meets neon at the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii. Crafted by New York-based BHDM Design, the boutique hotel’s interiors are informed by Hawaii’s foliage and wildlife—all seen through a saturated lens. “We wanted visitors to be awash in an eternal sunset,” says firm founder Dan Mazzarini, so his team “decided to amp up the chroma and intensity of colors—more like the rainbows seen throughout Hawaii.”

The tallest skyscraper in Thailand—the 78-story King Power Mahanakhon Building—is also home to the Standard International’s Asia flagship, the Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon. Here, Spanish designer Jaime Hayon eschewed Thailand’s typical ultra-minimalist aesthetic for Art Deco-inspired interiors that nod to Bangkok’s melting-pot status and the Standard’s global roots.

Located near Vanderbilt University, Graduate Nashville reflects the brand’s hallmark quirky, locally driven style. “Throughout the hotel, guests will experience an evolution of playful scripts and stunning backdrops that speak to the design’s protagonist,” says Krissy Melendez, Graduate’s senior concept director. That fictional character, a country music artist on the rise, provided inspiration for the feminine, retro aesthetic that includes a palette of floral patterns and pink hues.

For the 46-room Sands Hotel & Spa in Palm Springs, designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard opted for a notable pink exterior to “disguise the [existing] architecture” and turned to greenery “to create a lush paradise that draws the eye to the landscape rather than the building,” he says. The building’s warm, rosy tone, he adds, “makes everyone look attractive in its glow.”

Another Ken Fulk project, the Commodore Perry Estate, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, offers a “quirky mix of styles amid formal gardens in the middle of an urban setting,” says Fulk. The LaVerne Suite, for instance, is a romantic retreat sheathed in dramatic florals in pink and red shades.
