A 50-story Fairmont hotel is being planned in Austin, Texas. Gensler will design the $350 million luxury property, which calls for about 1,000 oversized guestrooms and 70,000 square feet of function space. Scheduled to open in 2015, the hotel will pursue LEED certification with sustainable efforts such as waste management, energy and water conservation, recycling, organic waste diversion, and rooftop herb gardens.
