After 20 years with Jeffrey Beers International (JBI), Masako Fukuoka will join CRÈME as its new director. Fukuoka, who most recently served as principal and design director at JBI, will be based in the design firm’s Brooklyn, New York office.
“I have known and admired Masako’s work for many years, and her arrival is perfectly timed with our growth in Japan,” says CRÈME founder and principal Jun Aizaki. “We’re proud of the collective talent in our studio, and Masako’s addition to our team will position us to go to the next level.”
Fukuoka adds, “There are so many synergies that make this a very exciting next step for me personally to reconnect with my roots in Japan. I look forward to working with Jun and the team to help CRÈME grow and reach their next goals as a firm.”
Fukuoka received a bachelor of interior design from Parsons School of Design, and has previously lent her expertise to Ian Schrager Hotels and Rockwell Group.
