The allure of today’s branded residences is the convenience and luxury of having 5-star hotel service right at home, so it’s no surprise that demand is skyrocketing. Over the past decade, branded residential projects have risen by more than 160 percent, according to a 2023 report by Savills, a global provider of real estate services. The hospitality landscape in Fredericksburg, Texas is transforming, with new luxe offerings joining the winery town’s modest motels and homey B&Bs. New ventures like Dallas-based Mod Motels, for instance, are focused on converting cherished roadside motels into modern destinations. Meanwhile, upscale inn the Menagerie opened with 14 guest accommodations sprinkled between a Queen Anne mansion and a row of 1930s bungalows across the street.
