Perched atop the Roman & Williams-designed Freehand Hotel in New York, rooftop bar Broken Shaker has undergone a transformation by interior designer Melissa Bowers.
Operated by Authentic Hospitality—known for nightlife concepts like Pebble Bar, Jac’s on Bond, and Ray’s—Broken Shaker blends vintage charm with a tropical twist in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.
A standout feature of the revamped bar is its ceiling fans, which recall the breezy, open-air venues of Latin America. A curated mix of vintage midcentury furnishings exude timeless sophistication, inviting guests to relax and unwind.
Lush greenery and warm, ambient lighting add to the welcoming atmosphere to create a cozy retreat high above the bustling city streets.
