Major Food Group (MFG) has expanded its Miami footprint with the debut of Carbone Vino in Coconut Grove.
Envisioned by Dubai- and Miami-based firm Bishop Design, Carbone Vino’s interiors transport guests to a bygone era while paying homage to the restaurant’s original location in New York’s Greenwich Village.
Luxurious details inside Carbone Vino
The restaurant unfolds across a series of moody, romantic spaces—including a main dining room, a lively lounge, and an intimate private dining room—defined by distinctive details.
A rich palette comprising fine wine and deep blue tones, paired with warm lighting, sets the stage for an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The main bar, adorned with burnished bronze accents and soft arch motifs, acts as a striking focal point, drawing guests into the space.
Layered textures and materials, from heavy velvet drapes and gold-accented wallpaper to leather-upholstered banquettes and handcrafted ceramic tiles, further enhance Carbone Vino’s refined, approachable ambiance.
The restaurant also features art curated by the gallerist and longtime MFG collaborator Vito Schnabel, which includes pieces by Rene Ricard, Lola Montes, Francesco Clemente, and Julian Schnabel.
“We wanted to transport people on the journey through design, both physically and subliminally,” says Paul Bishop, founder of Bishop Design. “It’s a place where everyone can experience the escapism of everyday life in Miami. Every element is in synergy—from the interiors to the food, the playlist, and service—creating a space that feels both current and authentic for all.”
Carbone Vino joins Carbone, ZZ’s Club, Sadelle’s, Dirty French Steakhouse, Contessa, HaSalon, Sadelle’s at Kith, and Chateau ZZ’s as MFG’s ninth endeavor in Miami.
