Monaco-based firm Humbert & Poyet has unveiled its latest F&B project in Milan: Rumore, a cocktail bar inspired by the Italian lifestyle and retro-1970s television aesthetics.
Accessible through a hidden door, Rumore—which is located just steps away from restaurant Beefbar Milan that Humbert & Poyet completed last year—reinterprets classic elegance with a contemporary flair.
The interior design is both vibrant and inviting, featuring a red carpet with psychedelic patterns designed by fashion designer Sara Battaglia.

Midcentury red velvet chairs contrast stylized leopard prints and green ceramic octagonal tables. Alabaster lamps, custom-designed by firm founders Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet, further amplify the space’s eclectic charm.
The focal point of the room is an elevated stage, backed by 3D frosted glass panels that emit a gentle glow, while curved designs echo Art Deco aesthetics, a signature of Humbert & Poyet’s style.
Enhancing Rumore’s theatricality, long curtains frame the stage and a disco ball casts playful reflections on the polished DJ booth.
An intimate bar counter area can seat up to 20 guests on stools upholstered in leopard-print fabric, evoking a speakeasy feel. A preserved antique fireplace, complete with mirrors added for a visual twist, anchors the space, along with fluted wood paneling and graphic wallcoverings inspired by the 1980s.
Curated by Amélie Maison d’Art, Rumore’s art collection complements the space’s liberated vibe, embracing a sense of freedom that resonates throughout.
