Brown Hotels is set to introduce the second property in its Isla Brown portfolio this May in Crete.
Set upon the Greek island’s northern coast, the Isla Brown Chania resort will invigorate its setting with an elevated, contemporary aesthetic executed by Athens- and Cyprus-based Liakos Associates Architects.
A natural materiality and neutral earthy hues will permeate a clean, organic sensibility across the 148-room retreat. Plush green velvet, marble surfaces, wood fixtures, and elegant gold accents will serve as focal points against a backdrop of cream, taupe, and brown shades illuminated by abundant daylighting.
In addition to a wellness center that includes a hammam, sauna, and fitness center, the resort will also be home to an outdoor terrace endowed with a swimming pool, lounge, and expansive bar. A trio of unique eateries, including a contemporary Greek taverna, will round out Isla Brown Chania’s dining options.
Deluxe garden and deluxe sea configurations will span the guestrooms, while more spacious suites are offered in four configurations, like deluxe garden view suites with a shared pool; grand suites with private pools; and the honeymoon suite, which boasts a private splash pool. An additional 30 suites attached to private splash pools will open onsite next year.
“At Brown Hotels, we’re passionate about hospitality in all its aspects and the stories behind each and every one of our 50 hotels from the high-spirited, urban hotels, to sophisticated design resorts,” says Brown Hotels founder Leon Avigad. “Isla Brown Chania will continue to raise the standards for the Crete hospitality scene with its stylish and luxurious design.”
