Mexico’s 200-mile Riviera Nayarit coastline is set to become even more luxurious with the arrival of two new resorts: Montage Punta Mita and Pendry Punta Mita. Expected to open in 2026, the elegant coastline properties—located on Punta Mita, a 1,500-acre private peninsula—come courtesy of a partnership between Montage International and Mexican real estate developer DINE.
The design of the 63-acre Montage Punta Mita will seamlessly blend comfort and luxury. Boasting 140 guestrooms and 91 branded residences with up 11,000 square feet of living space, the resort will also feature a spa, high-end fitness center, resort pool, numerous dining options, and a sports center offering pickleball, tennis, and more.
“Partnering with Montage International to bring both the Montage and Pendry brands to Punta Mita builds on the multidecade legacy of excellence we’ve worked to create within our gates, and in the greater Riviera Nayarit region,” says Alejandro de la Barreda, CEO of DINE. “Montage International brings a certain prestige for creating luxury, amenity-driven experiences for its owners and guests, and we look forward to weaving that into life at Punta Mita for our existing community and future visitors.”
Featuring 115 guestrooms and 30 residences up to 4,300 square feet in size, Pendry Punta Mita will stand as a beacon of modern opulence overlooking the pristine surf breaks of Riviera Nayarit. A plethora of culinary options, a resort pool, and a sports center will also enhance the guest experience.
Owners of branded residences at either property will have access to both resorts’ amenities.
The design teams leading the projects have not yet been disclosed.
