On the heels of a recent hotel opening in Santorini and announcing a Vietnam property set to debut in 2025, Nobu Hospitality has also revealed plans for its 30th hotel, which will be located in Tulum. Additionally, the company is scheduled to open Nobu Hotel Atlanta in October 2022.
“We are extremely proud to have achieved our 30th hotel milestone in just nine years, and honored to share the vision of our hotel owning partners and thankful for the passion of our Nobu colleagues around the world,” says Nobu Hospitality CEO Trevor Horwell. “Formidable partnerships at their heart need complete and mutual trust, alignment of values and a shared vision—through establishing strong and special relationships with key industry leaders and groups around the world our growth has been catapulted to 30 hotels. One of these groups, RCD Hotels, were born out of the same family values and spirit of entrepreneurship as Nobu Hospitality, and today RCD has grown into a hotel owning powerhouse, including six Nobu Hotels Residences, whilst maintaining their core values. It is a special privilege to be partnering with RCD again on the Nobu Hotel and Residences Tulum.”
Set among white sand beaches and coastal Mayan ruins in Riviera Maya, Nobu Hotel and Residences Tulum will comprise 200 guestrooms and suites including 12 villas. A beachfront restaurant, expansive meeting and event spaces, a fitness center and spa, and 50 chic beachside residences will also debut onsite.
Furthermore, Nobu Hospitality has signed a deal with leading lifestyle real estate group Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) to grow its footprint in Thailand, beginning with two projects in Bangkok. A Nobu restaurant is slated for development atop the city’s mixed-use Empire Tower, while a Nobu Hotel will follow.
“Our strategy is to work with regional development partners in Asia who embrace our unique business model and share the same passion for luxury and high-quality products,” Horwell adds. “We have a dynamic relationship and partnership built on the foundations of trust and respect, with a vision to enact an exciting and differentiated hospitality offering.”
