Method Co. has launched its first ROOST Apartment Hotel location outside of Philadelphia. ROOST Cleveland debuts inside the historic May Building in the heart of the Ohio city’s downtown corridor. Home to 62 design-drive, loft-style hotel rooms, the extended stay concept was designed and curated by Morris Adjmi Architects and Method Co.’s in-house design team Method Studios.
“We were able to be more experimental and custom, using a mixture of design elements that enhanced and celebrated the historical nature of the building, while also bringing in some unexpected and contemporary elements,” says Method Co. creative director Daniel Olsovsky. “We wanted to capture the lofty proportions of our rooms with a balanced palette of earth tones and highlights.”
An organic palette of green, blue, and cream hues contrasts with saturated bursts of orange to lend “a contemporary feel to our adaptive reuse environment,” Olsovsky adds. Contemporary furnishings like vintage rugs and modern light fixtures also punctuate the functional workspaces within each chamber.
Onsite amenities include an open-air atrium, a fitness center, private yoga studio, makerspace, and a panoramic rooftop terrace populated with gas grills overlooking the city.
ROOST is set to open locations in Tampa and Detroit later this year.
