Located in the tony Belgravia neighborhood between Hyde Park Corner and Wellington Arch, the long-anticipated Peninsula London has officially made its debut.
Flooded with natural light, the elegant new-build features interiors by New York-based architect Peter Marino that exemplify the best of British craftsmanship. Despite the hotel’s modern aesthetic, its façade—designed by Hopkins Architects—masterfully complements the traditional style of Belgravia’s historical architecture.
The Peninsula London comprises 131 guestrooms and 59 suites, as well as 25 sumptuous branded residences. Guestrooms range from 538 to 635 square feet, with many featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Wellington Arch and Central London. Tailormade furniture, fabrics, and art capture the feel of a stylish apartment, alongside mahogany-paneled dressing rooms, bathrooms clad in honey onyx, and bespoke fittings.
Throughout the property, exclusive commissions from renowned creatives such as fashion designer Jenny Packham, perfumier Timothy Han, and more than 40 artists from the Royal Drawing School evoke a distinctly British essence.
With interiors inspired by classic British aviation and motorsports, signature rooftop restaurant Brooklands is helmed by Michelin-starred chef director Claude Bosi, while Manu Harit, a certified cigar master, oversees cigar storage and a tasting lounge.
In restaurant Canton Blue and its adjacent bar, Little Blue, exotic interiors celebrate Asia and Britain’s spice trade union. Afternoon tea is served in the Lobby where soaring ceilings make for an elegant affair.
Landscaped by Enzo Enea in the manner of a classic English garden with ivy, wisteria, and 120-year-old Japanese maples, Peninsula London’s private courtyard enables discreet off-street arrivals and valet parking in an underground garage. Plus, a ground-floor retail arcade tempts locals and guests with nine luxury boutiques.
