The Warwick New York Hotel, originally built in 1926 by newspaper baron William Randolph Hearst, has unveiled a restyled interior complete with updated guestrooms and a collection of five signature suites. Under the direction of Seattle-based Interior Design International’s design director, Stephanie Ellis-Carmody, the refreshed look blends the property’s rich history with modern-day hospitality. Ellis-Carmody transformed the property’s 426 guestrooms, including 67 suites, with a refined color palette of gray and champagne tones. To complement the rooms’ new modern touches, the architectural integrity of the original hotel’s time period was preserved and many of the original fixtures were given minor cosmetic upgrades in order to uphold their historical spirit. Each signature suite was individually designed to pay homage to the hotel’s highly storied history as well as today’s cultural landscape. The suites are aptly named the Randolph suite, the Marion suite, the Follies suite, the Jane suite, and the Modern Art suite—the latter being a nod to the property’s famous neighbor, the Museum of Modern Art.
