Wave House is the first high-end condo-style hotel to debut in the coastal town of El Zonte, El Salvador.
The property—with architecture by local firm López Hurtado and interiors from CHWashington Studio—features 19 residential-style accommodations ranging from studios to three-bedroom penthouse suites. Each unit is outfitted with an in-house kitchen and offers access to the area’s black-sand beaches, locavore dining options, and world-class surf breaks.
Studio residences provide ocean views from private balconies or patios, while two-bedroom units offer a mix of ocean and mountain vistas visible from terraces, bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens.
For an added layer of indulgence, three-bedroom residences boast indoor-outdoor living spaces, including one with a private pool.
Designed with an emphasis on local craftsmanship, interiors feature custom furniture by CHWashington Studio. Textiles by Lula Mena, a women-owned brand that empowers women in high-risk areas of El Salvador, and pottery created by Shicali Ceramics, a non-profit supporting individuals with disabilities, further infuse spaces with a regional character.
Wave House fosters deeper cultural connections through its lobby art gallery, which showcases work from local artists, and partnerships with local chefs like Bendito Fuego to offer fine-dining experiences.
Additional amenities include an outdoor infinity pool, a cocktail bar in collaboration with Minibar Miami, and a 5,000-square-foot rooftop deck.
The property also features a lounge, workspace, and a rooftop wellness area equipped with a jacuzzi, cold plunge, Biomechanics gym, and treatment rooms for physical therapy and massage.
