Levant, a new restaurant at San Juan’s La Concha Resort, marks Michelin-star chef Michael White’s first venture in Puerto Rico.
“It’s an honor to prepare beautiful food befitting this storied and incredible locale of San Juan,” says White. “Levant provides a one-of-a-kind coastal dining experience, and I am proud and inspired to share Mediterranean flavors paired with Puerto Rico’s local bounty.”

Conceived by New York-based Celano Design Studio, the restaurant is nestled within the resort’s iconic seashell-shaped structure, a 1958 architectural gem designed by Mario Salvatori.
The reimagined space pays homage to La Concha’s glamorous 1950s origins while offering a modern, sophisticated aesthetic.
Guests are welcomed by a striking, glowing bar that stands as a beacon over water-like tile that reflects the sky. French gold brass details shimmer throughout, casting a warm glow that enhances the tranquil yet sophisticated atmosphere.
At the heart of the venue is the inverted clamshell dining room, a dramatic design that serves as the centerpiece of the space. Here, oak elements and cream tones are punctuated with hints of aquamarine.
Organic seating, shaped to echo the curves of a clamshell, appears to float above the reflecting pool. Dining tables, clad in Mediterranean-sourced natural stone, serve as the perfect canvas for White’s bold, reimagined cuisine.
Above, original Murano glass lamps—preserved from the space’s previous iteration—cast a soft, ambient glow onto the ceiling.
