The Hôtel Royal—a storied grand dame resort located in Evian-les-Bains, France—has transformed its wellness experience into an Evian Spa, the first and only one in Europe.
The facility, spanning more than 18,000 square feet, captures the essence of refinement and revitalization, inspired by nature’s water cycles, including its origins, mineral infiltration, underground water reserves, and springs.
These four dimensions inform the spa’s sensory environment, treatments, as well as its architecture and design, which was spearheaded by Patrick Saussay, development manager for the Evian Spa brand.
Every detail echoes the steady cycle of water. The six individual treatment rooms and two couples’ rooms feature views of the surrounding Lake Geneva through expansive windows as well as large photographs of the Alpine landscape.
From an outdoor hydro circuit and snow room to a cold pool and traditional sauna and steam room, the communal wet areas are an integral part of the spa experience also.
The Evian Spa concept first debuted in 2012 and now boasts five locations around the world, including Tokyo and Hanoi, Vietnam.
