Nature meets neon at the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii. Crafted by New York-based BHDM Design, the boutique hotel’s interiors are informed by Hawaii’s foliage and wildlife—all seen through a saturated lens. “We wanted visitors to be awash in an eternal sunset,” says firm founder Dan Mazzarini, so his team “decided to amp up the chroma and intensity of colors—more like the rainbows seen throughout Hawaii.”

The tallest skyscraper in Thailand—the 78-story King Power Mahanakhon Building—is also home to the Standard International’s Asia flagship, the Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon. Here, Spanish designer Jaime Hayon eschewed Thailand’s typical ultra-minimalist aesthetic for Art Deco-inspired interiors that nod to Bangkok’s melting-pot status and the Standard’s global roots.

That fictional character, a country music artist on the rise, provided inspiration for the feminine, retro aesthetic that includes a palette of floral patterns and pink hues.
