Crave Sushi has opened in Midtown Manhattan, operating as a standalone sushi bar that complements its adjacent sister restaurant, Crave Fishbar.
The new restaurant utilizes the fish bar’s kitchen and bar space, providing a seamless service experience without disrupting circulation.
The design of Crave Fishbar
Designed by New York- and Washington, DC-based //3877—in collaboration with Guth DeConzo Consulting Engineers and Keltic Woodwork and Construction Management—Crave Sushi boasts a rich oceanic color palette of blues and coppers infilled with deep greens and warm woods.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a custom banquette set atop a small platform alongside a host stand. Moving further inside, intimate dining booths line the way, adorned with a custom wood and copper millwork wrap.
Additional seating leads to the sushi bar area, where diners can choose to settle into seats at the bar or booths along the back wall. Behind the bar sits a striking backdrop of millwork and bespoke liquor shelving.
Meanwhile, the back room is outfitted with playful netting details paired with reflective finishes and wood screening as a subtle nod to elements in Crave Fishbar.
