IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to launch a Six Senses resort in Telluride, Colorado. The forthcoming property will comprise 77 guestrooms and 24 branded residences.
The development team, led by Matthew Shear and David Jaskel of the Vault Home Collection, is working closely with Six Senses to bring wellness-driven hospitality and a residential experience to the San Miguel County town.
The exterior, by architects Vault Design, will be enveloped in blend cedar siding and local stone, while the interiors, courtesy of Rose Ink Workshop, will be rendered in a warm, light palette to celebrate the purity of the natural elements.
The resort’s F&B spaces will include a specialty restaurant, omakase dining, a speakeasy bar, and the only rooftop venue with pool in Telluride. A buzzy retail and conference space onsite will be open to the surrounding community.
Meanwhile, the Six Senses branded residences will range from two to five bedrooms, with some featuring a den. Amenities will include a gym, cinema, lounge, and games room.
“Becoming an active part of the community is hugely important to us and so where better to begin our North American mountain adventure than Telluride, with the global sophistication of Mountain Village and eclectic old-world nature of the town below,” says Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses. “Having lived in the Colorado Rockies in the 1980s, I can attest to the mountain environment lending itself to the expression of our values around wellness and sustainable development today.”
Six Senses Telluride marks the brand’s continued expansion in the U.S., joining the recently announced Six Senses Napa and Six Senses South Carolina Islands. The brand is also growing internationally with the April launch of Six Senses La Sagesse, and ongoing developments of Six Senses Grand Bahama and Six Senses Xala on Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
Six Senses Telluride is expected to open in 2028.
