In December 2022, Mondrian unveiled Mondrian Mexico City Condesa, a celebration of Mexican art and architecture in the megacity, followed shortly after by Mondrian Cannes in France, marking the brand’s eighth hotel overall.
Now, Ennismore, which owns the lifestyle hotel brand, has announced plans for its global expansion. “From the moment the doors at Mondrian Los Angeles opened in the late ’90s, guests connected with an electric energy and experience that was entirely new to hospitality,” says brand COO Chadi Farhat. “Guests can expect the same core values synonymous with Mondrian at every destination, with a flair for the unexpected that Mondrian aficionados know and love.”
This year, Mondrian will open outposts in Singapore, Ibiza, Hong Kong, and Bordeaux, France. The first addition to join the hotel collection will be Mondrian Singapore Duxton, currently slated for a June opening. Designed by Studio Carter, the 302-key property will be crowned by a rooftop pool and bar, offering sweeping views of historic Chinatown shophouses peppered throughout the neighborhood.

The Singapore property will be followed by Mondrian Ibiza (expected to open in summer 2023), and Mondrian Hong Kong (slated for Q3). Closing out the year will be Mondrian Bordeaux with 97 intimate guestrooms built around a 19th-century building in France.
In 2024, Mondrian will debut hotels and branded residences on Australia’s Gold Coast as well as a property in Abu Dhabi (marking the brand’s first entry in the United Arab Emirates). In 2025, the brand will launch its second property in Mexico with Mondrian Tulum Hotel & Residences. Also in the works is Mondrian Riyadh, which will open in Saudi Arabia in 2026.
